When I was pregnant with my last child I had thought about this at. The fact that I could help save the life of my child or children was just too precious to pass up. Did you know that cord blood stem cells can help treat over 70 diseases including leukemia in children. And I really do not know why it is controversial because it does not hurt the mother or the baby. The cord blood is only taken from the umbilical cord after the baby has been delivered either naturally or by c-section. It takes all of 5 minutes by the doctor after your baby has been born. I did my research and found it just to be a no brainer when it came to decide whether or not I wanted to do this. I really wish I did this with all my children but this is probably going to be my last child so I didn’t want to let this opportunity pass me by and then years later kick myself for not doing it. I hope that I never have to use it but it is there if I do need it. And for the cost it is to store it in my mind it just do not compare to the cost it would be if I didn’t have it and needed it. The Family Cord Blood Services is a great site to check out and they have been around helping families since 1997. They are a subsidiary of California Cryobank, Inc., as well as been registered with the Food and Drug Administration and is fully accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks. Check the out and do your research if you are pregnant or are thinking of having children. Do not let the opportunity pass you by! Filed under: Babies and Babies Health ![]() Comments: None |

My baby is sitting up pretty good now but every once in a while he tips over. And it is amazing that he doesn’t cry more because sometimes it sounds as though it really hurts. But he just rolls back over and crawls somewhere else to sit. No I have to really watch him because he is fast and furious. He has a destination he wants to go to and he gets there in record time…well for a baby Filed under: Babies ![]() Comments: None |

I don’t care what anyone says…you can spoil a baby. I refuse to walk my baby around 24/7 – I did that with my first child and it just plain sucked. I would rather hear him cry for 10 minutes than walk around with him for an hour for him to fall asleep. I just am not doing it. And my husband gets upset…too bad. Have him pick him up. I am not breaking my back walking around for hours and hours. Not again! Filed under: Babies ![]() Comments: None |

Personally, I think I like Desitin best out of all the diaper rash creams that are out there today – I have tried 3 or 4 but Desitin has always seemed to really do the trick with my babies. Here is something to remember though. Do not use creams that have methyl salicylate, benzoin tincture, camphor or boric acid in them – they could be harmful to your baby. Try to stick with things that have zinc oxide like Desitin or petroleum jelly. Filed under: Shopping Reviews and Babies and Babies Health ![]() Comments: None |

It is just so fun to watch a baby try to crawl and get around. My baby is like a fish out of the water. He flops and then moves and t hen flops again. He really does get around. It is just so funny but none of my kids did that traditional crawl that you see on tv or that you read about. Everyone is different and all babies will develop in different ways and personally I don’t think one way is better or more “right” than others. Filed under: Babies ![]() Comments: None |
