Super Household Tips For Moms!!

The Miracle
Posted on 07.02.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

Have you heard of http://www.celle.com. When I had my last baby I stored the cord blood cells because I just felt like I personally had to because I thought about it so much that if I didn’t and for some terrible reason my child or children would need it I would have kicked myself for not doing this. But now there is a monthly miracle that every woman should know about. C’elle is a company that harvest stem cells from menstrual fluid…a monthly miracle that can actually help cure diseases.

These stem cells have been know to help treat and cure countless number of diseases and ailments everything from leukemia to diabetes to patients that have had strokes. And the possibilities are endless as they do more studies to find out that these cells can help with so much more. I really wish that the government would fun this more because it is an amazing study. I swear that they don’t want o though because then they would get as much for all the drugs they pharmaceutical companies put on you. Check out this site and see for yourself and you can even order and introductory rate kit. Although money is no object when it comes to your families health.

All Over The Place
Posted on 06.29.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

I am just having a hardest time wieh the potty training thing. She will go to the bathroom but she tells me right after she goes and not before she goes. It is very frustrating to say the least. I think that we are going in the right direction but I really wish she would get it because these diapers are getting so expensive!!

Fluoride
Posted on 06.24.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

They say hold off on giving children fluoride until they are 2 or 3 but I say that is just too young too. In fact I think that flouride is unneccisary quite frankly. It is a carcinogen that I think in the long run does more harm than good. I don’t think that there is any real reason why we should be brushing with flouride – it is the way you brush not what you are brushing with most of the time.

Crazy Kids
Posted on 06.19.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

I went to the zoo again yesterday and there was another field trip going on….these kids were wild. They were all around 7 years old maybe 2nd grade and they were crazy and mean. And there were 3 chaperones that each had 5 kids but they were all sitting together talking not watching the kids…the kids were absolutely nuts. I was just appauled and that is why I will not let my kids go on field trips with out me as a chaperone because the parents just don’t watch them!

So Cute
Posted on 06.18.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

Ok – it will be in the middle of the night and my baby will wake up just so happy. But I can not go back to sleep until I know that he is ok. The thing is that you can not just get mad at this kid for keeping you up because he smiles all the time. You can not help but laugh. He woke up laughing this morning – it was so freakin funny. Kids can really make you happy …. sometimes ;)

Get A Dorm Fridge
Posted on 06.13.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

So, my cousin is going to be graduating high school tomorrow night. And she is just a ll excited about going to college. She has some of the tings she needs but I told her that she just has to get a dorm fridge!! This is a necessity in any dorm room and really… dorm fridges are not all that expensive at all and they are well worth it. When you are studying all night you do not want to have to interrupt your studying by having to go out and get a cold beverage and you do not want to be thirsty because that will just cause you not to be able to concentrate.

But when you are shopping for your fridge you want to make sure that you get the best rates out there. You have a lot to spend on and the college cost alone is a lot. So, any money that you can save it great! But this is really something that you have to have..you need that in your room and your friends will just be so very happy that you have one too!! :)

Toddler Car Seats
Posted on 06.13.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

It is just so hard to find really good toddler car seats that are comfortable and that are not that bulky. With the summer months here it is not too bad because the big coats do not have to be put on but even still…if you have a toddler that has long legs some of these seats can be quite uncomfortable. That is why I always do my research on things like this. You have to go from the infant seat to the baby seat to the toddler seat to the booster seat…it is crazy and it lasts around 10 years for each kid. So you want to make sure that you get something that they will like. But you also want to make sure that it is affordable. Some car seats out there are just so expensive and are not any better than the lesser expensive kind.

The thing about car seats is that if you have 3 or 4 children…they don’t make cars or SUV big enough. Even the ones with the 3 rows you can’t use because if you have 2 toddler car seats in the back then you can not move the seat forward to get to that 3rd row for your older children that are just in the booster seats and can actually get themselves in. You really need a mini van if you have more than 2 children.

And be sure to read up on the different types of toddler car seats also…there are just so many. And then putting them in can be quite tricky too if you are doing it correctly. Reading up on the different ones out there and reading reviews of what other people have had to say is very important!

Letters
Posted on 06.11.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

Did you ever have your children get those Letters from Santa...they are just so cute! I mean kids just get the biggest kick out of the simplest things and the thing about a Letter from Santa is that you can not do that for too long because they just grow up so darn quick. And the site Jingle Bell Junction is a great site to get your Santa Letters. Their site is very user friendly and it is just something to thing about come this holiday season. Sure it is just the beginning of summer but when the time comes you may think about it too late or may only hear about this type of service after it is too late to take advantage of it.

This site also has great recipes, crafts as well as other fun things like animations and cartoons. They also have things you can use on your computer like wallpapers, ringtones and clipart. It is a really cool site that has a lot to offer. And for the quality letter you will get you will be pleasantly surprised…it is a small price for something that will just make a child so happy. Yes, as an adult you may think that this is ridiculous and that can do this yourself but this is just something fun for the whole family. And if you are a grandmother…this would be great to send that grand child. Or if you work with children…why not send it to your class or to a group of them. It is sure to bring a smile on their face and it is just a silly little tradition that is fun.

So, come this November and December it is just something you may want to think about doing for the little ones in your life. Hey…you can even send it to an adult – put a smile on that Grinch in your life…we all know one of those!

The Chores Idea
Posted on 06.11.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

Here is a great idea I was reading up on this week. I am always doing all the chores in the house and my daughter is getting older so I give her things to pick up. Nothing much but she has to clean up the messes that she makes now. That is not much to ask. But there will be a time where I will have children that are all of age to actually have a chore once a week whether it is the dishes or vacuuming. Why not put all the chores in a hat along with something that says “no chores for you!” – then they can pick their chores randomly every week and may even get that lucky paper!!

Reading To Children
Posted on 06.11.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

Lately, I have been reading to my daughter while she is eatting her lunch at the table. I find that she eats more and she is listening more intently. It is a nice time to read to them and it is qualtiy time I get to spend with my daughter while my baby is asleep. And she loves to be read to…so that is a plus right there. You should read to your children for at least 20 minutes a day they say.

Any Ideas?
Posted on 06.10.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

I remember my daughters 1st birthdays…they are the most memorable for the parents and the relatives that attend the party than they are for the baby…which is why you have to take lots of pictures and videos so that someday they can see it. Which is why you want to make sure that their 1st birthday is a great one if you are going to show it to them someday. There are so many great 1st birthday ideas out there too. My oldest had a Baby Einstein theme and the home made cake was incredible…my mother in law made it. And all of her baby gifts were somehow baby einstein related. There were other very cute items as well though. She got alot of gifts that year. Now I am the one going to other people’s 1st year parties…that is until everyone comes to my sons at the end of this year :)

Grab That Crayon Bag
Posted on 06.10.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

I have a crayon activity bag that I always have ready when I need it. Like those dreaded doctors appoinments where you sit there with your kids for 30-60 minuts waiting in an office that has nothing to do for them! This way they will be occupied and they don’t play with this because it is in the bag…so it is new to them which really keeps them happy. Always keep it handy and ready to go – saves a lot of frustration and aggrevation!

School Party
Posted on 06.04.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

So there is going to be an end of the year party for my daughters class. i volunteered to go it…it should be cute. It is an ice cream party so I have to bring in something as well as an ice cream scooper because I will be scooping ice cream and cleaning up. I love to do things like that and volunteer on those days…it is a camera day that is for sure. I like to make scrapbooks for every school year!!

Webkinz
Posted on 06.04.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

So, my daughter is really into Webkinz…which is fine but I don’t like the computer thing but she loves it. So I give her one morning – Saturday mornings I let her play on the computer in Webkinz world. I don’t want to her to spend her entire days on the computer because she is very creative and I don’t want to her to lose that creativity. And I want her to play outdoors this summer too!!

Bedroom Sets
Posted on 06.02.08 by The Mommy Blogger @

I spent a good month last summer looking for new bedroom sets for my girls. I wanted to get them their own really nice sets before my son was born. I actually got him one too since he is in the co-sleeper attached to my bed…so they all got new sets

The site Furniture From Home is a great site to check out if you needs furniture. They have a very user friendly site and I had no problems finding what I was searching for. They have everything from bedroom furniture to home office furniture and everything in between. When you have that growing family it is nice to find a site like this….and the prices seem quite competitive as well.
