There is a story that was on the Internet called the Blue Many Fraud. This guy made his own home made colloidal silver. Ok – let me start by saying that that was pretty dumb because he obviously did it wrong – made his silver compound wrong which contributed to the fact that he turned blue! The truth of the matter is that colloidal silver can not be made at home and it should not be made at home. Not only that but it will not turn you blue. In the vast history of people that have used colloidal silver over the hundreds of years no one has turned blue until now…isn’t that a little strange. The guy just wanted to obviously get some attention and he did but in the process he made people think that this stuff would turn you blue. It will not. It is to help improve your health and your ailments and have proven to work in the past. Filed under: Family Health Comments: None |

Whenever I go outside I am always checking for ticks because they just walk right on you no matter if you were outside for 2 hours or 2 minutes. When they are attached to you or your child make sure you do not burn them off. Take some tweezers and grab is by it’s head and then be sure to clean the area with alcohol. Personally, I always look very closely at the tick before getting rid of it just to make sure that it is not a deer tick. Filed under: Family Health Comments: None |

More parents and people should be aware of the huge benefits of preserving your babies cord blood. The controversial side to me doesn’t make much sense – you don’t hurt the baby nor the mother because it is a 5 minute thing that is done after the baby is born. There is a New site about stem cell research that I think parents to be should check out because it will well be in their best interest. They have a great Stem Cell FAQs page that answers many questions that you may have. I personally found the sit to be very user friendly and well organized and I thought that they gave a lot of great information especially if you don’t know all that much about it. I did my research when I was pregnant and I am very glad I did. I only hope that the stem cell research gets better funded because the possibilities that it holds to help cure and treat diseases is amazing. Read up more about it and see for yourself what it is all about. Filed under: Family Health and Babies Health Comments: None |

Have you ever tried Diet Pills? Consumer Price Watch can find you what you are looking for at prices that you like. I have friends that have been very successful with diet pills. They also eat right and they exercise regularly which is much needed when you are trying to lose that weight. You can not just rely on pills to help you but they can aid in your weight loss. And everyone is different too so what will work for my friends will not work for me and there are so many different weight loss products out there you really want to make sure that you find that one that will work for you so that means that you may have to try different things out there to see what is best. And talk to your doctor to make sure that what you are taking is ok with your current condition especially if you are on medicine or supplements already for something else. When it comes to weight loss the key is to find what works best for you and those weight loss pills may just help you out or they may not. We are all different so what works great for my sister may not work that great for me. But healthy eating and exercise never can hurt that is for sure! And I think that losing weight gradually is the best way to do so. And if you are pregnant then do not even consider losing weight because it is unhealthy and after you have that baby if you are nursing then don’t try to lose weight either because you need that little extra to provide for your baby’s needs. And remember it takes 9 months in my opinion to really lose your baby weight in a safe way. Always consult your doctor too when you are thinking of trying the diet pills. There are just so many out there too that you also want to make sure that you do your research to get the ones that are right for you. Filed under: Family Health Comments: None |

My doctor wanted to give my 2 year old the flu shot….I said no. And they pushed it but I know my daughter and I didn’t want them to give it to her. The flu shot contains thermisol and it turns out that all the flu vaccines were the wrong ones last year – I would have given her something for absolutely nothing. Listen to what your doctor has to say but don’t let them bully you. Some doctors really talk down to you – stand your ground when it comes o your kids. If you are pregnant or thinking about having that baby then you may want to get some more information on Cryo-Cell. This is a Cord blood banking service that can help store your baby’s cord stem cells. It is an easy procedure that doesn’t hurt the mother or the baby because the stem cells and blood is taken after the baby is born. This could be the treatment or the therapy that you, your baby or a family member may need in the future. It is a safe solutions that is very affordable and they are always offering great incentives and introductory rates. And most ob/gyns support the collection of stem cells and I think it should be better funded. When I had my last baby I thought about this procedure way to much so I decided to do it because I would kick myself if later in his life he could have used these stem cells to help treat a disease or illness. It is a peace of mind for myself and I hope we never use them. Filed under: Pregnancy and Family Health and Babies Health Comments: None |

My cousin just had a baby and it really bothered me how these doctors treated her. She is young – 21 and married so 30 years ago she would have been so young to be already married with a kid but these days that is considered young. They talked to her like she was an idiot and she doesn’t know what she is doing because this is her first child so she needed a little guidance and help. She doesn’t need to be treated like she is a complete idiot. She went through a lot already have a 12 week premature baby. Filed under: Family Health Comments: None |

First of all I can not stress enough that you should always wash your vegetables! They are just loaded with pesticides that you do not want to be feeding your family and loved ones. Here is a great tip for that huge picnic you are throwing. If you are in charge of making all the salads and need to wash 6 or 7 heads of lettuce….put them in a pillow case and throw it in the washing machine – my mom did this once and it really cleaned them!! Sounds weird but it worked! Filed under: Family Health and Super Household Tips Comments: 1 Comment |

If you have a family and a job and a home to take care of then you need to get that good nights sleep each and every night to get through the day. Especially if you have young children you need that good nights sleep when you get hte chance because if you are like me you are waking up every couple of hours so those hours that you do sleep have to be good and quality hours. You don’t want to be wasting time tossing and turning in an uncomfortable bed that is for sure. When I got pregnant this last time around the first thing I did was went out and got a new bed because I wasn’t going through another pregnancy with an uncomfortable bed that was for sure! And a Memory Foam Mattress is really awesome and you have to get the pillow too…I just love my memory foam pillow!! There are great Adjustable Beds and Tempurpedic beds to choose from. Definately get that bed that is going to meet all of your needs…a good nights sleep really makes for a better day. Filed under: House and Home and Family Health Comments: None |

When it comes to your family and your parents especially you want to make sure that they are well cared for when they are older. They took care of you when you were little and now it is your time to make sure that they are being taken care of the best way possible. Sometimes however it is not possible that you are able to take care of them because you have a demanding job, family or you may just be living in another state or in a home that has no extra room to take them in. So you have to check out nursing homes and the last thing that you want to think about is Illinois nursing home neglect but if this is the case there are people that can help – Chicago nursing home abuse attorneys. Horwitz Law has that Illinois nursing home negligence lawyer that can best help you out with your case. There is not reason that neglect should be happening especially when in many cases you are paying quite a bit to make sure that they are not neglected! Filed under: Family Health Comments: None |

When I had my first two babies I never really thought about storing the cord blood. There is tons of information out there about it and it was always in the magazines I was reading but I didn’t do it. When I had my son for some strange reason I thought about it and looked into it. Because I thought about it so much I had to get it because I would be kicking myself one day if I could have done this but didn’t. It doesn’t hurt the baby or the mother because it is done after the baby is born. I hope that I never have to use it but it is there if my children need it and cord blood has been known to be successful for over 70 different diseases and conditions. It is a bit pricey you would think but I think it is worth it and they have lots of specials that you can take advantage of as well. Cryo-Cell International has a lo of great information on their site you can read up on and check out their special offers. They have specialist’s there to help you out. I talked to someone named Vincent that was really nice. And they are a reputable company as well which is important! Filed under: Babies and Family Health Comments: None |
