I went to the zoo again yesterday and there was another field trip going on….these kids were wild. They were all around 7 years old maybe 2nd grade and they were crazy and mean. And there were 3 chaperones that each had 5 kids but they were all sitting together talking not watching the kids…the kids were absolutely nuts. I was just appauled and that is why I will not let my kids go on field trips with out me as a chaperone because the parents just don’t watch them! So there is going to be an end of the year party for my daughters class. i volunteered to go it…it should be cute. It is an ice cream party so I have to bring in something as well as an ice cream scooper because I will be scooping ice cream and cleaning up. I love to do things like that and volunteer on those days…it is a camera day that is for sure. I like to make scrapbooks for every school year!! So my daughter had a chorus concert and it was cute. I don’t know why they all have to wear black and white though. They do one concert that lasts 30 minutes a year and I have to go out and get black and white which she probably will never wear again. Sure it is uniform but it really isn’t because they all have on different shades. I was a childrens choral director that did a concert a year and I just liked them to dress nice…they’re 6 and 7 years old! And the plunking out of chords on the piano to tunes that were sung back in the 60’s is stupid! Filed under: Schooling/Education Comments: None |

I am always trying to find great school fundraising supporters. But personally I think that the usually and more traditional fundraisers like candy are just so incredibly boring. Schoolpop is different and it is great for schools and organizations of all sizes. You can shop at your favorite stores and just dedicate a portion of the fund to the school fundraiser programs. My daughter comes home with fundraisers that are stupid… this year it was over priced wrapping paper and pies…pies? Whos wants to buy a pie from a kid and let me tell you … it was horrible when all of those pies came into the school to be distributed Filed under: Schooling/Education Comments: None |
