So my daughters school is having a lottery to see who can chaperone…if I do not get picked she will not be going. I know what it is like on fieldtrips and I have been the teacher and the parent and the outsider and I just do not like what I see. I do not trust anyone to be taking care of 4 or 5 children that they do not know…one being my child. Personally, I think some of these field trips are just stupid anyways. And these days – it is sad but true – they just should do away with them. Filed under: Schooling/Education Comments: None |

I love this rainforest jumperoo. I was going to get the baby einstein jumper but they didn’t have it in stock but I think that I like this one better. The music is a little annoying but it is very cute and my baby just loves to look at the birds. I have to put two pillows under him because he can not reach the floor but the pillows work out great actually. It amuses him for a good 15 minutes…but he is still young. These days you can actually go to school right online. It is becoming more and more popular but not only for college credits and degrees but now for high school and elementary school home schooling. Having a site that is online is great to help you out with homeschooling your children. More and more parents are deciding to home school. There is a lot to be said about home schooling…sure it is not right for every student but if you are home schooling your child this site could be a great asset and help to the overall learning experience. The MorningStar Academy is a great site that provides both parents and students with the tools needed to successfully home school. You can even go right online and check out their The MorningStar Academy Student Demo. They have everything from great links and lesson plans to free software that you can download. And because it is online you can work at your own pace to get things completed and ask their experienced staff for help when needed at any time. If you really think about it … a student only needs 4 hours of school work a day…personally I think that is all they can handle depending on the child. It would be nice to have the option of deciding on when the learning will be. Although, children work best in the morning after a good breakfast. There are really so many benefits to home schooling and your child does not have to be sheltered from other socialized activities. There are plenty of ways … community activities, sports and events. Just the learning will be done in a more controlled environment…at home. Filed under: Schooling/Education Comments: None |

Is your child in need of qualified Math Tutors? My daughter is great in some areas of school but she is a little behind with Math. She is only in first grade but she would listen and I think get more out of it if I had someone help her now rather than later. I have been looking into Score Learning. They help children ages 4 to 14 make great academic progress in a innovative and creative tutoring environment. Filed under: Schooling/Education Comments: None |

I think that it is important to get that great education at any age. The key is to find that great program that you are going to enjoy and that you are going to use in the profession that you would like to pursue. So many kids just get degrees in things that they will never use. If you want to further your career you may want to consider that education with http://www.gibbsri.edu/. They have degrees in technology, business, medical assistance and criminal justice to just name a few. They are an accredited school that is dedicated to academic excellence. If this is something that you think could help you out then check out their site for more information. Filed under: Schooling/Education Comments: None |

Sometimes life does not always work out exactly the way you have planned. When you are little you think you are going to grow up andgo to college and get that great job and then the house and marriage and then have kids. But sometimes you have the kids before you actually get to college. Or you put off college because you wanted to start that family. There is a new site that can help you get that degree that you have always wanted and/or need for your job. It is just never too old to get that degree. You don’t always have to do things in that “perfect’ order you have always dreamed up. Filed under: Schooling/Education Comments: 4 Comments |

Some schools just love it when the parents come in to volunteer and other schools just want the parents to stay away. I remember when I was little the school that I went to had no parent volunteers. I do not remember ever seeing a parent volunteer to help out in the classroom but the school that my daughter comes from just loves to have parents come in and volunteer. They don’t like the pop in volunteer but they do like it when you contact the teacher to set up a time and day…it is kinda nice. Filed under: Schooling/Education Comments: None |
