Moms and Their Big Pocketbooks

Ever notice that as soon as you have a baby and children your cute little purses and handbags get pushed aside in the back of your closet to only be replaced with the HUGE mom pocketbooks. I remember looking at my moms pocketbook thinking, “could it get any bigger!” It was like a Mary Poppins pocketbook…you were just waiting for her to pull the huge light lamp out of there

I have fallen into being a proud owner of the big ass pocketbook and someday my children will make fun of me too…what goes around comes around I know I don’t have to give up my fashion sense but I need something big enough to put everything in and I just don’t have that extra money to spend on a fancy bag for myself. What we sacrifice for our kid

My Time

I just do not understand why come a certain time at night I just want my time. I never really understood why my mom would get so upset at me and my siblings when we wouldn’t get to sleep and we would be up playing in our beds till all hours of the night but now I do. You just want a little bit of piece and quiet. I just want time to myself to not clean or cook or take care of anyone other than myself. Not to much to ask but I will never get it!

When Will My Baby Talk?

So you have had enough of that baby talk babbling that you don’t understand even though your baby knows exactly what they are saying
Remember that all babies are completely different. But typically a baby may utter their first mama or dada sounds at 4-5 months. And around 18 months they should have around 10 words. Although they understand many more than they say..by 2 years old they should understand at least 200 words – typically nouns and be able to speak 50. Oh and keep in mind that it has been said that babies between 18 and 20 months are loeaning a whopping 10 words a day…so keep those profanities to yourself if you stub your toe or something

Between the ages of 2 and 3 is when they will all of a sudden start talking in full sentences rather than stings of words…and at that point you are going to wish they didn’t speak

No More TV

The TV has been off all day and almost all weekend for the kids and it just has been so nice. Time to head outside to play and get some much needed fresh air and if it is raining like it was on Saturday indoor craft projects are great! While my little one was sleeping we took out an illustory book that I had been saving for a rainy day and we created a story and just sent it off this morning. I love those illustory books and you can get them on eBay for $8 … just type in Illustory or Creations by You.
