The CDC says that pregnant women, who have flu symptoms, should see their doctor as soon as they notice these symptoms. Symptoms include sudden fever, sudden cough, in addition to the other symptoms. These other symptoms could include headache, tiredness, chills aching muscles, limb or joint pain, diarrhoea, upset stomach, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, and loss of appetite. Pregnant women are moving to the head of the line, for flu vaccine. This is because if pregnant women become infected, they are more likely to suffer severe symptoms. At present, in the US, 266 people have died of this influenza, of thoes there were 15 pregnant women. That accounts for 6% of deaths, but pregnant women make up only 1% of the population. I love to look at all the gender predictors out there on the Internet. I mean you really do have to take it all with a grain of salt but they are fun to take. I would never spend any money on something like this but the free ones are fun. Here are some great sites: http://www.obfocus.com/calculators/gender.htm My favorite: Filed under: Babies and Pregnancy Comments: None |

This is really a great book to have. I read it when I was pregnant every time even though I knew what to expect. But it is nice to read it just to make sure that it is all normal. My sister is pregnant so I let her borrow the book. She wanted to highlight stuff in it but I think that is just going a little overboard in my opinion. But it is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone that is pregnant. Filed under: Babies and Pregnancy Comments: None |

When it comes to your kids…most parents would give their kids the world if they could…why not give them the gift of life…again. Right now Cryo-Cell is having a weekend only sale. You can enroll in the Signature UCORD Service and Exclusive C’elle Service, for $1299 with the code: P2PS. Or you can use promo code 995PS by Sunday July 26th and you will get the UCORD pricing of $995 for the first year of storage, processing and testing which is a savings of $725. You hope that you will never have to use this but stem cells have been known to successfully treat over 75 diseases and they are 100% compatible with the child but it could even save a siblings life. Sure it is a pricey investment at first but it could really pay off if you were to need it. Think of all the money you waste on gifts and toys that are never played with. Lets face it…the baby’s first christmas and birthday is a waste of money…just get this for your child instead. That is what I did and I am just so glad that I did. It is simple and if you really think about it…it is a no brainer. And it gives you that peace of mind that you sometimes need being a parent.
